They can also be used as flexible, simply addressable General purpose input-output (GPIO)&nbsp;pins.&nbsp;GPIO&nbsp;pins&nbsp;provide access for&nbsp;digital&nbsp;and&nbsp;analog&nbsp;signal lines. Available&nbsp;pins&nbsp;are exposed through the .pin, .digital, .analog, and .pwm&nbsp;arrays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pin capabilities for&nbsp;ports&nbsp;A and B are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure get an idea of how these&nbsp;pins&nbsp;should be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, all of the&nbsp;pins&nbsp;are pulled high if not specifically set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pull-up-and-pull-down-pins\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pull-up_and_Pull-down_pins\"><\/span>Pull-up and Pull-down pins<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pins&nbsp;2-7 on both&nbsp;Ports&nbsp;are available for&nbsp;pull-up&nbsp;and&nbsp;pull-down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The basic function of a&nbsp;pull-up&nbsp;resistor is to ensure that given no other input, a circuit assumes a default value. Can be used to read from a specific&nbsp;register&nbsp;(depending on the communication details of the&nbsp;slave&nbsp;device).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A common use of this method is to send the address of
