Nacho De Marco is Chairman of BairesDev, the company he co-founded in 2009 and led as CEO for 17 years. He built BairesDev into one of the largest bootstrapped technology companies in the world, without ever raising outside capital. As Chairman, he leads the board and advises the CEO, Darren Shimkus, on the company's most strategic decisions. He focuses on BairesDev's next engines of growth: starting new ventures and exploring business models the company could add over time.
Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Nacho launched BDev Ventures, a VC fund that partners with B2B companies to accelerate their growth through a proprietary lead generation platform. He also invests in and advises companies across biotechnology and e-learning. Nacho supports organizations across a range of communities, all working to create opportunities for talented people to thrive.
Nacho is the author of IT Outsourcing to Latin America and a recipient of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 Bay Area Award. He has written for Forbes, the World Economic Forum, and Fast Company.
